Sporting a low and narrow profile, the 780A industrial accelerometer is suitable for route-based data collection because it is small and lightweight for easy handling. The 100-mV/g, general-purpose vibration sensor specifies a +5% tolerance and a 3-dB frequency response from 0.4 Hz to 14 kHz. Designed with a standard two-pin, MIL-C-5015 connector, it is compatible with existing cabling infrastructures and fits the same connector found on the majority of industrial accelerometers. Other features include hermetic sealing, ESD protection, EMI/RFI shielding, and an operating temperature range from -50ºC to +120ºC. Additionally, Class I Division 1 and Class I Division 2 hazardous-area-certified versions of the 780A will be available this summer.
