Durability, high power, and ease of use all define Keyence Corp.’s PR-G series of general-purpose metal photoeyes. Designed for the industrial automation industry, these self-contained sensors feature a heavy-duty metal body (rather than often-used resin material) that’s highly resistant to oils, acid, and alkaline detergents. In addition, they maintain IP68 and IP69K enclosure ratings to negate the effects of harsh environments. To ensure reliable detection, the company implemented powerful light sources and increased gain, enabling a maximum thrubeam detecting distance of up 30 meters. A high-visibility light indicator makes it possible to determine output status from a distance. A built-in trimmer eases sensitivity adjustment. The diffuse reflective and retro-reflective models also incorporate a seven-segment digital display, which helps boost calibration accuracy (based on numeric values).KEYENCE CORP.
