High-Current Shielded Inductors Offered In Low DCR And High Isat

Sept. 27, 2013
High current shielded power inductors feature eight inductance values from 0.50 to 10.0 µH for low DCR version, and 0.20 to 4.0 µH for high Isat version.

Coilcraft’s new SER80xx Series high current shielded power inductors are offered in two versions, one providing exceptionally low dc resistance, and the other offering saturation current ratings up to 53 A. Designed for applications with high average current (up to 13 A rms), the low DCR version is available with eight inductance values from 0.50 to 10.0 µH, with max DCR as low as 2.50 mΩ. The high Isat version offers saturation current ratings up to 53 A, suitable for high peak current applications (up to 53 A peak), and is also offered in eight inductance values ranging from 0.20 to 4.0 µH. The power inductors are suitable for distributed dc power systems, graphics cards, high brightness LED drivers, servers and networking equipment. Both versions are RoHS compliant and 260°C compatible. They have a 8.8 x 8.5 mm footprint and feature a third terminal for stable board mounting. Pricing for the SER80xx Series is $0.73 each/1,000 with parts available from stock.
