Miniature Ultrasonic Switches Detect Aerated Liquid Levels

April 25, 2014
Miniature ultrasonic liquid level switches detect liquid levels in space-constrained applications, such as fluid storage tanks, compressors, boiler tanks, hydraulic reservoirs and chillers.

Measurement Specialties’ LL-01 Sentio Series of miniature ultrasonic liquid level switches combine ultrasonic technology with reliable analog circuitry to precisely measure aerated liquids. The rugged, 316L stainless steel sensors are not affected by the dielectric or optical properties of liquids. The series detects liquid levels in space-constrained applications, such as fluid storage tanks, compressors, boiler tanks, hydraulic reservoirs and chillers. Many OEM markets including medical and histology, HVAC, industrial automation, chemical delivery and waste management can benefit from the sensors’ advanced properties. The fluid level detectors come with either 1/4" NPT or 1/2" NPT threaded fitting, and use no moving parts for exceptionally long-term operation. The switches handle pressures up to 250 psig as standard with higher pressures up to 500 psig available. Input power is 5 to 30 VDC and standard relay output is 0.5 A SPST in a normally opened configuration, with a normally closed relay option for high level fail-safe operations. A 4-20 mA power loop output can also be incorporated into the sensors to ensure that signal accuracy remains unaffected by voltage drop, or to supply operating power to the device. Pricing and delivery for the LL-01 Sentio Series switches are dependent upon quantities ordered.
