Employing AlNiCo magnets for high-speed operation, the MAE Y Series hybrid stepper motors target high-performance positioning applications with three NEMA frame sizes of 16, 17, and 23 with step resolutions of 1.8º in full-step mode. The motors also rely on precision-honed stators and ground rotors to minimize air gap and are available with four, six, or eight leads with single- or doubled-ended shaft extensions. Size 16 motors achieve bipolar holding torques of 10 or 12 oz-in depending on the model. Also depending on the model, size 17 steppers provide holding torques from 19.4 to 41.1 oz-in, and size 23 motors deliver 45 to 154 oz-in. Each member of the series can run either clockwise or counterclockwise. Options include gearboxes, encoders, and lead-wires. PENNENGINEERING MOTION TECHNOLOGIES, Harleysville, PA. (877) 748-8626.
