Preprogrammed to provide a single start input to run a stepping motor at eight preset speeds, the PLG230-1 driver has direction and speed selection pins that change motor rotation (CW to CCW, CCW to CW) and two pre-selected speeds on-the-fly. The PLG230-2 is programmed as an indexing driver that requires only a single input for indexed movement. Sixteen index distances (e.g. 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or 1 full rotation) are stored in the driver. Two additional inputs allow users to select four index distances from other devices such as a PLC. The PLG230 series of preprogrammed drivers is well-suited for OEM applications such as medical sampling and testing devices, pick-and-place equipment, indexed positioning systems and robotics.
