Applications as diverse as telecomm equipment, medical products, security systems and instrumentation are all potential markets for two new series of miniature dc motors. Incorporating either spur or planetary gears, the 16-mm 16LN series can be equipped with any of three different gearboxes, enabling the motors to cover a dynamic torque range of up to 0.6 Nm. They are available with a choice of windings rated from 4V to 12V, and a magnetic encoder can be added to provide feedback information. In volume quantities, price starts at $16.30 each. Using either spur or planetary technology, the other, 22-mm 22LN series of dc motors is also offered with three different gearboxes, allowing the motors to output a dynamic torque of up to 1.2 Nm. Options include windings rated from 6V to 18V and a magnetic encoder with a resolution of 161 pulses/rev (ppr). Price starts at $18.20 each. The motors are available from stock.
