Promoted as a true black-box solution, the ServoStep motion control system integrates a high-torque, 50-pole stepping motor, motion controller, drive-amplifier, and an encoder in a NEMA 34 frame size. It is capable of delivering a continuous torque up to 650 oz.-in. and a nominal speed of 2,200 rpm. Features include: an RS-485 port; stand-alone operation; closed-loop control; 14 I/O lines; 4 kHz PID filter; position, velocity, torque, and step-and-direction modes; single-voltage inputs; current limiting via software; limit-switch inputs; and thermal protection.
