For torque control of brushless and brush motors, the Bantam 500W torque amplifier sports a profile of 3.8 square inches. Available in two current ratings, the module mounts on a PCB with solderless connectors. The amplifier accepts a standard ±10V current command from an external controller while other analog control inputs are available to set current limits and adjust balance. Digital I/O includes over-travel limits, HI/LO motor inductance range selection, amplifier status, and brake control. A digital Hall interface is on tap for trapezoidal commutation of brushless motors. Also, a development kit is available for mounting and connectivity.
