Intended to serve as the heart of an H-bridge configuration to replace mechanical relays for driving automotive and other bi-directional motors, the VND670SP dual high-side switch integrates twin MOSFETs gate drivers on the high side, twin gate drivers on the low side, and cross-conduction protection. Cross-conduction protection is said to eliminate the need for programming dead time between conduction periods of the upper and lower legs of the bridge. As a result, the device is said to require less microcontroller resources. Features include sustained switching frequencies up to 10 kHz, low standby current, protection against loss of ground or supply voltage, and reverse battery protection. Available in a PowerSO-10 package, pricing is $1.97 each/10,000.
