Overmolding Enhances Plastic Circular Connectors

Overmolding is now offered for the Micro Circular Plastic Connector product line. A common requirement for many medical, test, instrumentation and other industrial applications, overmolding relieves wire strain and provides cable sealing protection up to IP 67. Customers can choose the connector with an overmolded cable or information on how to overmold. The Micro CPC connectors recently developed by the company are sold in two shell sizes that accommodate one to seven contacts in the smaller version and eight to 19 in the larger. The contact systems for the Micro CPC are screw machined for high reliability and are available in a spring probe arrangement or a precision pin-and-socket design.
