Outfitting the AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connector family, the company's die cast backshells feature what is claimed to be an innovative design with two cable entries. The backshells facilitate daisy chaining in a range of industrial applications where a BUS style connection is required between several pieces of equipment. To ensure screening integrity at the end of a connection run, or for applications requiring one cable entry, a blanking plate is provided to seal off the extra cable exit. The backshells are available in two termination styles: one with a screw down cable clamp and another with a crimped termination between the inner and outer ferrule. They are available with nine to 37 positions and in shell sizes from 1 to 4. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
