Designed for light load applications requiring a rotary drive with adjustable linear position or a linear guide with high torsional stability, the Spline Shaft SS 2 debuts as the smallest spline shaft in the SS 2 series, with an outside diameter of 3.18 mm. In an existing application using a ball spline, hex-, square-, or D-shaft, it promises to be a lower cost alternative without sacrificing positional accuracy. The assembly consists of a stainless steel or aluminum spline shaft employing the company's proprietary, low-friction Kerkote TFE coating, coupled with plain or thread-mount bushings. The unique coating eliminates the need for external lubrication and maintenance. For more information, call KERK MOTION PRODUCTS INC., Hollis, NH. (603) 465-7227.
