Addressing harness configurations where the risk of mismating or signal failure is high, the VersaBlade connector system promises maximum mating reliability, easy assembly, and cost savings when compared to round-pin style connectors. It consists of three components: 1.78-mm wide flat blade tab terminals, multi-configured modular housings, and terminal position assurance inserts. Via the blade terminals, the system accepts AWG 14-to-22 wire and handles voltage and current levels up to 300V and 15A, respectively. Other system features include lead-free tin-plating. Two housing styles for pre-configured wire-to-wire types and multi-branch types are available that mate to a common panel-mount housing unit. Both styles are molded of UL 94V-0 polyester. Pricing for a four-circuit mated pair is $0.73 each/1,000. MOLEX INC., Lisle, IL. (630) 969-4550.
