Four variations of KM6 subracks target specific apps and all meet IEC60297-3 spec. For light- and medium-duty designs, the KM6-II employs two-screw fixing of all tiebars and comes in 3U, 4U, 6U, and 9U heights, 24-, 42-, 60-, and 84-HP widths, plus 160-, 240-, 300-, 360-, and 420-mm depths. Other features include RFI shielding, support for RTM, front panel ESD, and coding and injector/extractor handles. Meeting MIL-STD-167, the KM6-HD subrack system handles military and transport applications. Features include positive guide retention, heavy two-screw fixing tiebars, 3-mm thick side plates, and rack angles with a conductive finish throughout. The subrack accepts Eurocards in 3U, 6U, and 9U heights with depths up to 400 mm. For high volume, cost-sensitive applications, the KM6-EC preserves the build quality of KM6-II. A lower-cost system, it uses lighter extrusion profiles, single-point tiebar fixings, and Zintec side plates. VEROTEC INC., Londonderry, NH. (603) 821-9921.
