Opto Diode recently introduced the UVG12 photodiode with a 4.1 mm diameter active area. With responsivity under test conditions at 254 nm, the minimum A/W is 0.105, typical response is 0.115, with a maximum response of 0.125.
The new 13 mm² photodiode is specially designed for detection between 193 nm to 400 nm and operates at 100 percent internal quantum efficiency in the UV and visible regions. The UVG12 is extremely stable, exhibiting less than a 2% drop in responsivity after exposure to megajoules/cm2 of 254 nm light. The photodiodes are ideal for use in applications such as laser power monitoring, photolithography, and other high power density applications utilizing ultraviolet light.
Thermal parameters for storage and operation range between -20°C to 80°C. The maximum junction temperature is 80°C and the lead soldering temperature is 240 degrees C (0.0625 inches from the case for 10 seconds). The photodiodes, shipped with a temporary cover to protect the device and the wire bond, are available for shipping now at $282.63 per unit.
