Whether deployed on factory floors or other industrial environments, hardware needs to be able operate in harsh conditions, including extreme temperatures, vibrations, and even radiation, without succumbing to malfunctions and failures. Some also need to be hardened against cyber-attacks, which can cripple any industry.
