The PowerOne SMD high current elements are the result of consistent ongoing development performed on the single-piece power elements from Würth Elektronik ICS. As regular press-in technology or through-hole technology (THT) is not suitable for every mounting process, Würth Elektronik ICS is offering an alternative solution with the new version of the PowerOne power element.

The versatile SMD high-current elements can be processed with the typical SMT lines and are soldered in an infrared furnace or using the steam phase system. Depending on the layout, currents of up to 300A are possible, which is why these power elements are suitable as connection elements for fuses, for cables on the printed circuit board or as mounting elements. The PowerOne SMD power elements are available in four variants, from M4 to M8. They are soldered onto the printed circuit board and simply fit into the process chain of a SMD line. The maximum torque of PowerOne SMD is the same as the torque of the classic PowerOne elements. An M8 PowerOne SMD, for instance, has a maximum torque of 9 Nm.
