With a primary-current rating of 10A and an isolation voltage of 500 Vdc, the 5600 series current-sensing transformers are capable of both measuring and monitoring ac currents. They are available in 50-, 100-, 200-, and 300-turn versions and operate over a frequency range from 20 to 200 kHz. Center-tapped versions are also available. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C and overall dimensions are 16.79 mm x 20.19 mm x 8.89 mm. Other features include inductance values from 5 to 335 mH and dc-resistance values from 117 mΩ to 8.59Ω. In switch-mode power supply applications, the transformers act as feedback elements between the output and pulse-control circuitry to provide regulation. Price is below $1 each in OEM quantities.
