For indoor and outdoor applications, respectively, the Tri-Band internal and Mercury external antennas offer low profiles and tri-band functionality. Tri-band technology combines AMPS, PCS and GPS frequencies and features 3.5-dBi gain on the AMPS and PCS bands. The internal Mercury antenna measures approximately 0.5" x 5" x 2.5" with a housing constructed of Cycoloy, a rugged material that enhances the life of the product. Measuring 0.75" x 5.5" x 5", the external Mercury antenna employs a PC/ABS weatherproof housing that allows the unit to perform well in extreme conditions. The internal antenna mounts with nylon or plastic screws, Velcro, or double-sided tape, while the external antenna is available with a magnetic or self-adhesive mount and can be installed on a ground-plane or no-ground-plane surface. List prices for the internal and external antennas are $140 and $125, respectively. LAIRD TECHNOLOGIES, St. Louis, MO. (800) 843-4556.
