Consuming less space than axial and flat-chip components, the OAR-TP series open-air, through-hole current-sensing resistors feature power ratings up to 3W. Depending on the resistance value, they feature mounting centers of 5 mm or 7 mm. The 1W OAR-1TP measures 7 mm x 7.8 mm while the 3W OAR-3TP exhibits a footprint of 7 mm x 32 mm and 5 mm x 32 mm, depending on the resistance value. Values range from 0.1&937; to 0.005&937; with tolerances down to ±1%, TCRs as low as ±20 ppm/°C, and inductance values in the single-digit, nano-Henry realm. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C. Typical pricing spans $0.18 to $0.20 each/25,000. IRC INC., Boone, NC. (828) 264-8861.
