Priced for high-volume applica- tions, the CA, CP, CPCC, and CPCF wirewound, metal-alloy resistors specify power ratings from 1W to 20W and target applications that require capacitive discharge, short-term pulsing, high-power dissipation, voltage division, and dc/dc conversion. The CA resistor is auto insertable and is available in two models with power ratings of 1W and 2W, a resistance range of 0.1Ω to 1 kΩ with tolerances of ±5% and ±10%, temperature coefficient of ±350 ppm/°C, and an operating temperature range from -65°C to +275°C. The CP components provide power ratings from 2W to 20W, resistance values from 0.1Ω to 1 kΩ, and tolerances of ±5% and ±10%. They feature a temperature coefficient of μ400 ppm/°C and an operating temperature range of -65 °C to +275 °C. In ceramic casings, the CPCC and CPCF resistors also feature a temperature coefficient of ±400 ppm/°C and an operating temperature range of -65°C to +275°C. Depending on the component, prices range from $0.04 to $0.15 each/10,000. For more details, contact James W. Ryba at Vishay Intertechnology Inc., Columbus, NE. (402) 564-3131.
