High-Def WUXGA Display Measures 25.5 Inches

A 25.5-in. widescreen ultra-extended graphics array (WUXGA) display, which delivers 1980 by 1200 resolution, offers 10% more height than a standard full high-definition monitor, according to developer IEE Inc.  The rugged yet lightweight machined-aluminum unit has front-facing, sealed on-screen display (OSD) switches that withstand harsh environments while providing full control of display parameters (e.g., brightness, contrast, size, and position). If the display is used as a replacement or technology enhancement, the WUXGA resolution can be configured to replicate multiple legacy 4:3 displays within screen partitions or tiles. The display accepts two DVI video inputs that can be toggled back and forth via panel keys. Features include 350-cd/m² native luminance, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a digitally controlled dimming system with a 250:1 ratio. Operating temperature ranges from −20 to +70°C. Typical power consumption is 45 W, and MTBF is more than 40,000 hours. Among the options available are high-brightness for daylight readability and NVIS goggle-compatible bezel and display backlighting.
