the VL810 SuperSpeed hub controller embarks as the industry's first integrated single chip that supports the USB 3.0 specification
Accommodating up to four high-bandwidth USB 3.0 devices simultaneously, the VL810 SuperSpeed hub controller embarks as the industry's first integrated single chip that supports the USB 3.0 specification. Handling maximum data-transfer rates up to 5 Gb/s, the device is also backwards compatible with previous USB specifications and offers support for hi-speed (480 Mb/s), full-speed (12 Mb/s), and low-speed (1.5 Mb/s) traffic. Power-management features include the ability for devices to communicate latency tolerance to the host and for links to enter progressively lower power states when link partners are idle. Additionally, the VIA VL810 is unique in that it is the first USB hub controller to employ advanced 80-nm CMOS technology, which further lowers power usage. VIA TECHNOLOGIES INC., Fremont, CA.
