Taking a bow as the market’s smallest three-axis digital-output gyroscope, the L3G3200D measures 3 mm x 3.5 mm x 1 mm gyroscope and exhibits significant robustness and immunity to mechanical stress plus notable temperature stability. It includes power-down and sleep modes, an embedded FIFO memory block, and it can operate with any supply voltage over a range from 2.4V to 3.6V with selectable full-scale ranges of ±250/500/2000 dps. Other features include a 16-bit data output on the interrupt and data-ready lines, low- and high-pass filters with user-selectable bandwidth, an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C,  and a temperature sensor with an eight-bit data output.
