Responding to demands for larger storage capacities and cross-platform versatility, four high-capacity memory cards target high-resolution digital cameras and Internet music players. The new cards include a 512 MB CompactFlash memory card, described as the industry's highest capacity, standard CF Type I card. A 128 MB SmartMedia memory card, and 256 MB and 384 MB standard CF cards, complete the lineup. With more than a half gigabyte of removable storage means, users can now compile hundreds or more high-quality digital images, MP3 music files and video on the same card.
