PC/104-Format 486DX CPU Board Offers Many Options

With up to 64 Mbytes of RAM, 72 Mbytes of flash memory, AT compatibility and a SuperVGA output, the SBC1486 address a myriad of applications in small embeddable control systems. The PC/104-format computer board is based on the 486DX 32-bit processor and can run large applications without any mechanical disk drives, offering highly reliable real- and protected-mode operation. BIOS Boss and CMOS Setup, as well as the DOS-compatible RUN.EXE operating system, are factory installed in flash. The board also can boot DOS, Windows 95/98/NT, Linux, Windows CE and other PC-compatible OSs.The SBC1486 core includes the 486DX processor at speeds from 66 MHz to 133 MHz. There's also on-board cache, 64-bit DRAM, hardware floating-point processing and AT-compatible interrupt, timer and DMA. A full array of I/O is also on the board.
