Providing application debugging and programming tools for the company’s ST7, µPSD, and STR7 8-bit through 32-bit microcontroller families, the RLink application development tool connects to target applications or evaluation boards via a JTAG connection for STR7 and µPSD systems, and an ICC interface for STR7 systems. Adapters for the three families, 10-, 14-, and 20-pin, are included in the kit. Power is derived through the USB connection to the host PC, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. Hardware is driven by the Raisonance integrated development environment (RIDE), which provides control of the compiler, assembler, linker, and debugger through a graphical user interface. The RIDE also provides integration of C or C/C++ toolsets, project management, code editor, SIMICE instruction set simulator, and high-level language debugger. The complete package includes a debugger and programmer, JTAG/ICC adapters, USB cable, and RIDE/RFlasher software CD. Price for RLink (STX-RLINK) is $59. STMICROELECTRONICS, Lexington, MA.
