Designers of Intel Pentium 4 systems can now get a dual-channel DRAM architecture and full support for 800-MHz front-side buses with a new motherboard chip set. With samples available now, the SiS655FX uses an extremely flexible dual-channel system architecture that supports all types and capacities of memory modules. Yet it still retains full dual-channel functions at a memory bandwidth up to 6.4 Gbytes/s. This lets users select almost any memory module without limitations in module specifications, which is a bonus for both mainstream and power users seeking upgrade and performance enhancements on Intel Pentium 4 platforms.
