With their signature glass-clear appearance and ability to flex, the company's silicone-coated flat cables promise reliable environmental protection including high levels of resistance to water. They are said to be impervious to immersion, high humidity, fungus, and damp operating environments, making them suitable for wash-down, autoclave, and other wet applications. On the other side of the coin, dry conditions or low humidity will not affect the cable’s flexibility or life. Additionally, the cables are resistant to corrosive effects of salt spray or seawater exposure, meeting all applicable specifications for shipboard use and marine environments. The cables are tested for tens of millions of cycles and are available in continuous lengths or as assemblies with connectors, Operating temperature ranges from -65°C to +260°C.
