The FP-75 and FP-15 optical fingerprint recognition modules use an essentially unbreakable prism sensor to protect the internal lens and electronic components from corrosion. Also, these units are immune to discharge, and they may be easily and safely cleaned. Featuring low power consumption, both modules can be battery or externally powered. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 60°C with a humidity tolerance of 90%.
The FP-75 standalone module can be used in remote locations that don't require a computer connection. It consists of a 21- by 23- by 52-mm optic module, a processing board with onboard CPU, DRAM, and flash memory. It supports RS-232 communications while automatically comparing, verifying, and storing users' fingerprint templates. The FP-15 provides algorithm and encryption support. Supplied without the processing board, it suits easy OEM integration with devices controlled by or interfaced with computers. It includes the optic module and a USB board. An optional software developer kit for the FP-15 is available as well.
The FP-15 costs $120, and the FP-75 is $400. Delivery is from stock to six weeks.
