June 1, 2001

Touted as the embedded computer industry's most flexible and powerful Sparc-based single-board computer, the Leopard features an UltraSPARC IIe processor operating at 500 MHz. With support for up to 2 GB of main memory, this CompactPCI SBC is said to be ideally suited for new generation datacomm and telecomm systems, such as servers, switches, routers and wireless base stations. Sporting a 6U form factor, the Leopard occupies a single slot in a standard cPCI chassis.
The hot-swappable board can auto-sense and can operate in system or non-system cPCI slots. Other features include temperature and voltage sensors, PMC graphics support, and a power-on self-test. Standard keyboard, mouse and serial ports are provided on the front panel. On the rear, J3/J5 connectors offer a complete 64-bit PCI bus, PIM compliant PMC I/O connections, and two serial ports. Also included is 1 MB boot flash memory and 8 MB of user flash disk memory. Prices start at $5,750.
