Designed for embedded systems and industrial computing, the IUC860 single board computer sports a CXC form factor and is equipped with the Motorola PowerQUICC processor and an Ethernet interface. The PowerQUICC operates at 80 MHz and is capable of achieving 108 MIPS, a 24-fold increase in performance over previous CXC processors. An internal communication processor module (CPM) is incorporated into the PowerQUICC. The new board communicates via a Fast Ethernet (100Base-TX) interface and features up to 64 MB of DRAM and 4 MB Flash memory. ThereÕs also 1 MB SRAM with battery backup that uses maintenance-free capacitors, along with a real-time clock and 1 Kb of EEPROM. The unit incorporates a socket for an optional boot ROM, full modem RS232 port, and five serial interfaces (two onboard, and three via CXM modules). Pricing starts at $670.
