Exploiting what is described as a unique core shape, the Toroid Terminator HM55 series inductors promise equal or better heat dissipation and shielding properties, compared to traditional toroids, as well as a smaller package and lower power losses.

Exploiting what is described as a unique core shape, the Toroid Terminator HM55 series inductors promise equal or better heat dissipation and shielding properties, compared to traditional toroids, as well as a smaller package and lower power losses. Rated at 200°C with no thermal aging, the shielded core's shape allows the inductor to be packaged in tubes and automatically inserted on boards. Other features include dc current ratings up to 40A, an energy-storage ratio of 10:1 in volume, Class F insulation system, and operating temperatures from –40°C to +155°C. The inductors are available in three standard package sizes in heights ranging from 0.2952" to 0.5322" with custom configurations available on request. Prices range from $0.32 to $0.59 each/100,000.
