The Xpedite1000 (PrPMC) and XChange-1100 (6U CompactPCI) processor boards both offer a unique combination of high-speed 333-MHz double-data-rate (DDR) SDRAM memory and dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. XPedite1000 meets high-performance communications needs with the IBM PowerPC 440GX. Supporting an on-chip 133-MHz PCI-X interface, XPedite at the minimum doubles PCI bandwidth over competing products. The XChange1100 board, with a 6U CompactPCI form factor, uses an auto-sensing system/nonsystem slot design that decreases end-customer sparing requirements. XChange1100 costs under $1500, while the Xpedite1000 goes for under $1000 in volume quantities.
