Eight low-power serial transmitter-receiver circuits have been developed that can provide up to 20 Gb/s of full-duplex data throughput, suiting them for use in high-speed telecomm and data networking applications. The additions to the company's transceiver family are manufactured using a 0.25-mm, CMOS process.
The TLK2201 and TLK2201JR single-channel Gigabit Ethernet transceivers are 2.5V devices compliant to 802.3 specs. Typical power consumption is 200 mW at 1.25 Gb/s. The devices require no external capacitors, providing data networking vendors board space savings and reduced component count and end product cost. The TLK1501, TLK2501, TLK2701 and TLK3101 serial transceivers provide a range of high-speed, 2.5V transmission options—the ICs span rates of from 1.6 to 3.125 Gb/s. Pricing starts at $4.50 each in volume.
