Full-Brick Converters Put Out 48V

June 1, 2000
With a 48 vdc output to meet requirements for distributed and board-mounted power systems in telecomm and server applications, the MT Series of metal-case, full-brick 50W, 100W and 150W dc-to-dc converters provide overvoltage and overcurrent

With a 48 vdc output to meet requirements for distributed and board-mounted power systems in telecomm and server applications, the MT Series of metal-case, full-brick 50W, 100W and 150W dc-to-dc converters provide overvoltage and overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and frequency synchronization. Other output voltages are available, including 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 and 28 vdc. Output voltages of these converters can be trimmed from 10% to -35% by using an integral pin. Typical ripple is less than 1% on all MT Series devices. And the converters can operate from inputs of 24, 48, 150 or 300 vdc at efficiencies up to 90%. Price is $127 each/100 for a 50-W, 48-vdc device.
