Designed to help systems attain the speeds needed for current data systems, the Plateau HS Mezz mezzanine connector line employs a plated plastic housing that is said to help enable the connector to support differential data rates in excess of 10 Gb/s. The housing also includes full shielding of each pair of differential contacts. Designed for stacking heights from 9 to 25 mm, other features of the mezzanine connectors include SMT differential pairs of contacts with a 1.2 mm pitch with pairs at a 3.5 mm pitch, two points of contact on each signal interface, and molded plated pegs on the housing for attachment to the pc board ground plane.
