Microminiature MMCX connectors are designed for applications operating from dc to 6 GHz. The devices optimize space usage and RF performance for high-density electronic packages. Applications include wireless/PCS devices, telecommunications, GPS receivers, and consumer electronics.

The connectors meet the CECC 22340 standard interface specifications for performance and intermateability. Available in surface-mount, edge-mount, or through-hole pc-board mounting technology, they offer —60-dB RF leakage performance using an outer conductor that is not slotted. Straight and right-angle plugs offer a "snap-on" interface for miniature flexible and semirigid coaxial cable connection. The connectors may be ordered in tape-and-reel packaging for high-volume pick-and-place board manufacturing. Controlled manufacturing processes ensure performance replication from connector to connector.

Pricing depends on the quantity ordered. A straight plug costs less than $2.00 each in quantities greater than 5000.
