Designed to decrease security risks, the G81-12100 and G81-12000 biometric keyboards provide fast and easy network login for end users, eliminate management of forgotten and expiring passwords, deliver tight security for corporate networks, and lower PC life cycle costs. The keyboards are said to be well suited for POS, stored value, loyalty, healthcare, banking, hospitality, access control, time and attendance, and membership/ID applications.Both the full-size G81-12100 (18.5" x 8.7") 104-key unit with integrated fingerprint scanner and the G81-12000, which combines both biometrics and smart card functionality, integrate the Identicator DFR-200 optical scanner for optical imaging technology and powerful matching algorithms. Both units also utilize BioLogin security software. To activate, the user simply presents his finger to a viewer on the keyboard for local or network secure logon.
