June 1, 2001

Designed for LAN, WAN, telecomm and synchronous or asynchronous serial communications, the CP-6211 6U, cPCI board provides eight channels of multi-protocol, high-speed communications. A maximum data rate of 8 Mb/s is supported for synchronous protocols using an external clock. Up to 2 Mb/s is supported for asynchronous protocols. Each channel is fully programmable to support a range of protocols including HDLC, SDLC, LAPB, ISDN and PPP. Wide selections of interfaces, configurable via software, are supported as well. Channels can be individually selected as RS-232, V.35, V.36, RS-449, EIA-530, EIA-530A, or X.21. No hardware reconfiguration is required. Ten signal pairs plus two single signals (RL and RI) for each channel are available at the rear I/O connectors J3 and J5. An optional rear transition module, the TM-681, brings all wiring of the eight channels to four. small serial I/O, dual stacked 52-pin connectors. Driver support is available for VxWorks and Windows NT. Price: $1,390.
