The VPX3-652 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) switch module from Curtiss-Wright aims to speed up and ease the integration of networking technology into defense platforms. The OpenVPX managed Ethernet switch card is low power and utilizes fast boot architecture to lower the cost of adding connectivity to new and legacy platforms.  It provides up to 20 ports of copper Ethernet connectivity in a single 3U slot to decrease system, size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C). It is ideal for space-constrained embedded C4ISR and electronic warfare (EW) subystems.

The board is also available in a configuration that supports 16 ports of tri-speed 1000Base-T backplane connections, or with 12 ports of 1000Base-T plus an additional 8 ports of 1000Base-X (SerDes) connections for mixed Base-T/Base-X environments. An additional front-panel is provided for air-cooled modules.
