Microprocessor-Controlled Hipot Enhances Test Safety

March 1, 1999

Greater operator safety is a key benefit of Model 1305 microprocessor-controlled ac hipot for production line testing. Designed to meet basic agency compliance requirements, including the UL 120-kiloohm standard, the instrument tests from zero to 3 kV ac with either a continuous or momentary dwell and has an adjustable trip current from zero to 5 mA. It also features an easy-to-read digital display with a user-friendly menu as well as front-panel controls. Microprocessor control provides improved test accuracy and reliability, it's claimed. Users can set up tests with no high voltage present. The unit's tamper-resistant controls prevent inadvertent or accidental modification of test parameters.
