Targeting high-volume, cost-critical display applications, the ZYTOUCH projected capacitive technology (PCT) touch sensors promise to eliminate the limitations associated with standard capacitive, resistive, and surface acoustic wave sensor technologies. The PCT components are based on the principle of embedding an array of micro-fine sensing wires within a multi-layer laminated screen behind a protective front surface, ensuring that the sensing medium is protected. They exhibit an unlimited touch life, are drift-free, and require minimal maintenance. Features include a sensor thickness of approximately 3 mm, response time of less than 20 ms, and continual performance that is unaffected by surface contaminants. Additionally, driver software is compatible with Windows 98SE/2000/Me/XP/XP-E/CE and Linux. For further information, call ZYTRONIC, Tyne & Wear, UK. +44 (0) 191 414 5511
