Suited for backlighting large displays, the Durel D371 IC driver is equipped with features for driving EL lamp backlighting systems in next-generation communication products. The driver features adjustable ac output for long life and high power, application-specific wave-shaping capability for noise reduction. It also offers four levels of programmability for matched lamp/inverter performance, as well as the option of microprocessor control of low and high frequency oscillators. The inverter is designed for use in the keypads and displays of handheld communications and computer equipment. Samples are available for prototyping. Pricing beings at $1.05 for MSOP 10 packages in tape-and-reel. Bare die are also available.
