Targeting restaurant, hospital and other applications where human hygiene is a concern, the CleanScreen is offered as the first touch-screen incorporating antibacterial technology registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency. Incorporating Aegis Microbe Shield technology, the CleanScreen touch-screens destroy bacteria and microorganisms on contact.
The shield is not merely affixed to the surface of the touch-screen. It is chemically bonded to the surface, making it a permanent part of the touch-screen and allowing it to remain functional even after long-term use that may include hundreds of cleanings.
CleanScreen displays require no special products to maintain them. Standard glass cleaners sold in supermarkets and computer retail stores are claimed to be the most effective.
