The Model 5335/6 system from Elma Electronics integrates up to eight SATA III ports and over 2 Tbytes of onboard capacity in a single 3U VPX slot. Viewed as a PCI Express Gen2 x8 connection to the host, it provides the link to a storage array with capacities exceeding 8 Tbytes across four slots and data bandwidth beyond 1 Gbyte/s. The storage array system, featuring RAID 0/1/5/10 support, can be configured to maximize bandwidth or provide data redundancy.
