Create, Compile, Link Real C Code Apps With Bluetooth Dual-Mode SOM
Single-solution full control of all system resources now becomes reality with the OBP421 Bluetooth dual-mode system-on module (SOM). The Bluetooth Smart Ready device makes it possible to create, compile, and link real C code embedded applications with access to any connected Bluetooth Smart sensor using the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT). It’s based on the standard OBS421 Bluetooth serial port module. The dual-mode module is a 72-MHz ARM Cortex-M3 32-bit RISC core integrating up to 384 kbytes of flash and up to 64 kbytes of SRAM. It features a range of I/Os, peripherals, 12-bit analog-to-digital converters, general-purpose 16-bit timers, pulse-width-modulation timers, and a variety of communication interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, USART, and CAN). There’s also a dual-mode stack with SP, DUN profiles, and connectBlue Low Energy Serial Port Service). In addition to GATT, the OBP421 supports Android and iOS (Bluetooth low energy only). The SOM, with 300-meter wireless range, is radio-type-approved for USA, Europe, Japan, and Canada. It also complies with EMC, safety, and medical standards. Operating temperature ranges from ‒30 to +85°C.
