    Ethernet Bridge Penetrates Up to Eight Inches of Concrete

    Airvine's WaveCore Ethernet Bridge delivers 2.5 Gb/s through up to eight Inches of concrete.

    Airvine's WaveCore 1000-RH can deliver gigabit Wi-Fi speeds through 12 inches or more of concrete and 2.5 Gb/s through eight inches. Designed to provide wireless backbones in buildings, it can be used in conjunction with the company's WaveTunnel wireless intermediate distribution frame (IDF). 

    The WaveCore has a 10-Gb/s RJ45 port and a 10-Gb/s SFP+ port. It supports power-over-Ethernet (PoE) 802.1at PD. Also incorporated are a 6-GHz high-capacity radio with a directional antenna and a 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi radio with omni antenna. There's support for 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, too. 

    Using the web-based VineManager, it runs Airvine's VineOS and provides a point-to-point bridge. VLAN management supports VLAN transparent pass through.

    I earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
