VITA 93 QMC Overview

July 1, 2025
Learn about the new VITA 93 QMC mezzanine module standard that targets industrial and rugged applications.

Watch the video (above), which is part of the Introducing VITA 93 QMC webinar.

In this video, we cover the basics of the VITA 93 QMC standard, including architecture and features. This mezzanine module standard has multiple layouts, with its minimum being a little larger than a long M.2 module. There are a number of differences, such as four mounting holes and two high-bandwidth connectors for the basic VITA 93 QMC module layout. The standard also defines conduction cooling details that improve interoperability.

In the webinar, I talk with Mark Littlefield, Senior Manager of Embedded Computing, Elma Electronics; Jan Zimmerman, General Manager, TEWS Technologies; and Matthew Burns, Director of Technical Marketing, Samtec.
